Five for Fighting

This video is worth the watch. Every time it gets a hit, the band Five for Fighting is donating $0.40 to autism research.

So go there alot. These kids are awesome and there is so much lurking inside when they let you in. They deserve all the therapy and help that they can get to make their lives a little easier. I can't imagine not being able to express what I want and need or tell anyone I'm frustrated.

Just imagine. And go watch the video: What Kind of World

Rascal Kitty

If this is huge or doesn't work, forgive me peeps, it is a test. This is a picture of my spoiled flame-point siamese mix kitten who is now somewhere between 8 and 9 months old. He was thrown from a car at about 4 weeks old and lost his tail. He had other injuries including a broken leg. He's a healthy, ACTIVE cat now.

The Waiting Game<

Do you all know how ANNOYINGLY LONG IT TAKES to get an official teacher certification from
The Florida Department of Education???? Too, TOO DARN LONG!!!!!!!!! Ok, so I've only really been waiting a week because they've been waiting on my UNF transcript. But I already hold a Temp Certification. So they already have an eligibility status on me. They already know what courses I was supposed to complete before applying for my permanant. They should already know I've been teaching for over 2 years now, and that I've passed the first year teacher torture (otherwise known as Teacher Induction Program).

SO WHY MUST IT TAKE SO LONG??? I AM NOT A PATIENT INDIVIDUAL!!!! I should have everything in place, but I'm paranoid. Impatient. I've been working on this for 2 years, after all. I wonder how many weeks I will be waiting??? Grrr....

I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack...

Well, finally I've done what needed to be done to actually remember my blogger password, so I'm back. I'm sure no one has been reading since I'm just 2 months shy of a full year of no posting.

In updates, yesterday was my 2-year anniversary teaching in Exceptional Education with students with Autism, and I'm still going strong. I should be going from Temporary to Permanant Certification very soon. In June I moved out of the parent's home and got my own little apartment. I've adopted a very spoiled flame-point siamese cat who was abused and nearly killed as a kitten. I should graduate in December with my Master's in Special Education from University of North Florida and am currently taking 2 classes of the remaining 3.

But I'm still lacking in social prowess. I need to pursue a life this year, which is my New Year's resolution.

And now that I have my password and ID back, I am going to go and respond to some of your blogs that I should have a loooong time ago!
